LKAS Fellowship

As the Lord Kelvin Adam Smith (LKAS) fellow for Virtual and Augmented Reality, I have three areas of responsibility.

The first is to conduct original research on the philosophical issues related to the immersive technologies of Virtual and Augmented Reality (collectively XR).

The second is to run new projects such as Project Mobius (which spawned the VR teaching platform edify), a virtual reality teaching project and as Co-Investigator on the Royal Society of Edinburgh-funded project "Augmented Reality: Ethics, Perception, Metaphysics".

The third is to support my colleagues in their use of these technologies for research, teaching, and public engagement - I do this through my role as Co-Director off the Immersive Experience Lab, and Chair of the ARC XR Operations Board Find out more about each below.
